1. Delaware Obits
2. ,Hello Dori, I have checked the archives in Dover in the past for obits. It seems they only have a collection of them. Im assuming from other peoples collections and compiled on microfilm. I didnt have any luck and saw no rhyme or reason to their indexing. Save your money on the phone call. No sense to make a long distance call for information that can be passed along here on line for nothing. I have had many people help me on rootswebs lists and I have sent along information also. Im grateful for their kindness and willingness to help and share. I cant afford to call everyplace that has the files and information I need. IT would be too expensive and that is why I joined these lists to share and exchange information at no cost unless someone copies, snail mails things and wants to be reimbursed for copies.. SO far I havent had to do that either. I send things at no cost and things are sent to me the same. It equals itself out in the long run since it is usually a 2 way exchange. I wish I could help you more but it looks like Alan might be your man for information and or actual obits. Good luck to you. Keep asking for what you need, that is how we get answers to mysteries and road blocks in genealogy..If you want to email the Dover Public Archives you can and ask anything you want to without the cost of a long distance call. Their email address is: [email protected] also Delaware Public Archives this is their website to see what they do have available on line, hours of operation and costs for sending copies. Let me know how you make out with you treasure hunt. Take care Vickie [email protected]

3. When I first started genealogy many years ago I innocently wrote to the DE Hist Soc for the marriage of my gggparents, 1824. And they sent it to me! Why don't you try them for your obit.
