Unfortunatley,I received the following notice today from a friend. Sure enough I found the teddybear virus and it is easy to remove. Please check your computer. You are receiving this notice because you are in my address book--family,friend .......... My address book has been infected by a virus. As a result, so has yours because your address was in my book. I was advised about the virus today. The virus is called: jdbgmgr.exe. The virus can not be detected by norton or mcaffee anti-virus programs. It sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book, whether or not you send email. To get rid of the virus is easy. Do the following: 1. Go to start, then "find" or "search" 2. In "files/folders", write the name of the virus: jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure to search in your "C" drive 4. Click "find" or "search" 5. The virus has a teddy bear logo with the name jdbgmgr.exe 6. Right click and delete the virus 7. Go to the recycle bin and delete the virus there If you find the virus, you must contact everyone in your address book. Sorry about this - but the good news is that the virus is easy to delete. I received the message today that I had the virus and it took all of 10 seconds to get rid of it. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Barbara, jdbgmgr.exe is not a virus, it's a standard windows file for handling long file names that you just ask everyone to delete. This has been going around for ages.
