ATKINS, his father was Josiah Alonzo Bayard ATKINS, b. 1846, his father was James Alonza Bayard ATKINS b. 1816. I have been unable to find the father & mother of James A. Bayard ATKINS. I think that he may have married a daughter of the James A. BAYARD family who were in Wilmington, Del. and were congressmen for Delaware. I visited Chester Co. Historical Society, DCHS, Swarthmore College, Archives in West Chester, and found a lot of biographical information but not the children of the BAYARD, I am looking for. Since they were so prominent in Delaware I feel that it would not to hard to find out whether my theory is correct. I was in Pa. but discovered this information on Friday, but had to return here to Florida on the 22nd of Sep.
