Dear Friends: For many years I have been trying to locate a photo of my mother's first husband who was born in Cherry Hill (Cecil Co., MD.) in 1885 to James & Mary (nee Drennen) Cole. I am searching for: SAMUEL EDWARD COLE (or Edward Samuel) of Newark, DE. He was a member of the Concordia Hill Lodge No. 67, F. and A. M. of Philadelphia in the early and mid 1900s and an officer in the Knights of Pythias. A member of the Methodist Church of Newark and a volunteer fireman. He died in Newark, DE. in June 1940 while living with his sister Ida (Mrs.Wm. ) Morrison of 28 Choate St., Newark. Samuel Cole was a well-known employee of the Curtis Paper Mill and he and my mother, Clara, lived at 48 No. Chapel St., in 1918.
