Hi Joy, Thanks for the reply. However, I didn't get any 'hits'. I am looking for John Welsh/Welch (the father who died), George Welsh (the one year old son) or the wife Margaret Welsh. This would have been in 1815 and I don't think the early index is on line. I hope I am wrong. John [email protected] wrote: >You have to do a search for the index. John, was your John Welsh in Sussex County? I have two John Welshs' (father and son). I ordered the will of the John Welsh who was in Sussex. Mine were in New Castle, but thought, well maybe they moved. Of course, not mine. I have that will. I filed it somewhere. Since it was not mine I may have to dig for it. Let me know if this is the one you are searching for. Both of the John Welsh's in my family married into the Elliott family. Let me know. Hi Anita, My John Welsh died in New Castle Co. in 1815. He was about 28 years old and married to Margaret. I do have his probate record and the will of his brother-in-law Peter Shepperd. Peter died at the same time. Is this close to your family? I also have a George and Hugh Welsh in the same area, (Brandywine) who might be related.
