Hi Mary, Nice to hear from you! I know what you mean about "our accent." When I used to visit my cousins in NYC & the Bronx -- they would ask me if my passport was in order. Boy, did they have nerve! :) Happy hunting, Helen (DCGS) In a message dated 6/12/2 11:19:36 PM, [email protected] writes: << Hi Helen, I didn't know you were up in Delaware County. One was taken in Chester and looks very similar to my mother's father. But who could really say. And that is the trouble, a picture without a name that may be grand dad's mother. I wish I had the ability to go to Chester County for research. Think that same story is very familiar to people in genealogy work. Best regards, Mary in Alabama >>

Subject: Samuel Edward Cole Dear LISTERS: For many years I have been searching for a photo of my late step-father: SAMUEL EDWARD COLE who was born in Cherry Hill, MD., (Cecil Co.) in 1885. He was a well-known paper mill worker in Maryland and then Delaware ( at Curtis Brother Paper Mill). In 1918 he lived at 48 No. Chapel St., in Newark, DE. with my mother, CLARA (nee Gusberg) whom he married in Hartford, CT. in Aug. 1917. He died in June 1940 at 28 Choat St., Newark, DE., while living with his sister Mrs. William (Ida) Morrison. I would gladly pay for any information, photo or text that you can provide. Advancing age and declining health limit my ability to travel much to perform my own on-site research. Thank you. [email protected]

Good morning Nancy, Thank you for your words of wisdom but H. "Dabbs" Woodfin Director at the Newlin Grist Mill Park referred Jim to me because they could not help him. Over the years, when I have come across NEWLIN info, I have passed it on to Dabbs. Hence, the reason he referred Jim to me. There are a few NEWLIN Family Lines that have not been researched & I have info on NEWLINs, they do not have at the Newlin Grist Mill.
