My mother is a Demers, from her I have 12 generations back. So somewhere along the line your two Demers must branch off. If you give me more information, maybe I can figure out where you branch off. Jean Demers was born Jean Dit Demers DuMet b abt1603, St. Jacques, Dieppe, Normandy, France. D July 11, 1669 in France. He was married twice. First to Miotte Lacombe and Barbe Mauger,Maugis. Jean and Barbe had a son Jean Demers (Dumet) b 1632 d July 3, 1708, Quebec City, Canada. Hope this helps. Rosalie
