My mother left Watertown Ct. and moved to California when she was eight, and to my knowledge never saw her father again, we found a few letters that she lovingly tucked away and that was it. I have tried to find out information on my grandfather whom I have never met, but keep hitting dead ends. I know he married a second time to a woman with the last name Holten. Brother Eugent Demers of St. Joseph's rectory received a telegram yesterday announcing the death of his brother, Mr. Alphonse Demers, which occurred yesterday morning at Plessiaville, Que., hte young man's home. Mr. Demers was 28 years of age.
