I have very little to go on. This is the sum total of all my data after 4 years of searching: Joseph Noel Demers was a widower with 3 children when he married my grandmother, Aline (Galarneau) Houle, also a widow with 4 children. The marriage intention was published 27 Jul 1940 in Lowell,MA papers. He lived in Lowell, MA most of his life. His first wife was Eglantine. She died in May 1933. I vaguely remember his birthday was either Christmas or around it, accounting for his middle name, but I have no clue in what year he was born, or where. He was a machinist for the Boston and Maine RR. His children that I knew as "Uncle/aunt" even if they were not blood relatives: Raymond, Reina, and Fernand. Were there others? He had at least one brother: Cyrille P Demers who married Marie Alma Soulard in 1946. I don't believe this last couple had any children. Cyrille played the fiddle. He also had 2 sisters who went off to California and joined the convent. Would like to find - date & place of birth, his parents' names - date of death (in Lowell, after 1962), - date & place of his first marriage - date of marriage to my grandmother I don't have access to Census info, but that might be a starting point if someone can help. Louis was my great-great grandfather and his son Alfred was my great-grandfather. My mother was raised in Chicopee and she and I have been to St. Rose de Lima cemetery in Aldenville where I photographed the graves of Louis and Cuthbert and their families. I've also photographed places where they lived, if the houses still exist. Let me know if there are any more questions I can answer, if I have the answers. I do have one question for you. Do the Cuthbert descendants include a Joseph who lived in Chicopee? Cordelia Demers, the youngest daughter of Joseph, married a Joseph Demers, coincidentally.
