Hi Mike & All, I saw the messages about the DeLoach wines and thought I'd provide some info. I was first introduced to the DeLoach wines about 15 years ago when my daughter sent me a label from a bottle of DeLoach wine which she had discovered in a restaurant. My wife and I subsequently visited the DeLoach winery in Sonoma Valley. Cecil nor his son, Michael, were available but we talked with Michael's wife. She advised that Cecil descended from the Georgia DeLoaches (Hardy DeLoach line who moved to Georgia from Beaufort District , S.C.) She was the first person to tell me about Judge DeLoach's book. We bought several bottles of the wine and found them superb. We keep a small stock on hand. They are always good conversation piece and our guests and family are very fond of their wines. They do not ship outside of California except to certain suppliers, but we note that in recent years that their wines are more prevalent in restaurants in the East. Mike, we met through E-mail several months ago when I sent you info on my line from Hampton County (Old Beaufort District) S. C. and I sent you info on the DeLoach Cemetery near Nixville, S.C. where my father, Ben Tillman DeLoach, my Grandfather & Grandmother, Michael & Catherine Hadwin DeLoach, and my Great grand parents, Michael & Rebecca Jane DeLoach are buried. I enjoy reading the messages on the DeLoach Roots. Regards, Charlie DeLoach
