Rebecca Ora DELOACh , born April 2, 1875 Mexia, Limestone County, Texas married William Dolphus OWEN June 18, 1895, in Freestone County, Texas; they are my grandparents. Grandma "Becky" was a daughter of Floyd Washington DELOACH and Roxey Ann KILBORN. Grandma Becky died November 18, 1957 in Hobbs, Lea County, New Mexico, buried beside her husband in Portales, New Mexico. Bill, as he was called, died August 15, 1936 in Portales, New Mexico. They had 10 children, four daughters are still living, my mother being one. The oldest living daughter is 94 years old. Their deceased children are: James, "Jim" Wilson Owen b. 6/8/1897 Limestone Co, TX died 12/8/1960, Portales, New Mexico. He married Eula May Ray May 7, 1916 in Abilene, Taylor Co, TX. Aunt Eula was born Sept 1898 died Dec 1985, Portales, Roosevelt Co, N.M. They had five dau's & one son. Pinckney Whitfiled "Whit" or "Tex" was born 10/23/1899 Freestone Co. TX died May 26, 1973 , Glendale , Calif. Uncle Whit hwas married but had no children. William Douglas born 11/26/1901 Bastrop Co, TX died 9/14/1963 in Lovington, Lea County, N.M.. Uncle Doug married Mable Clara Teters 12/27/1926 in Snyder, Scurry Co, TX. Aunt Mable was born in May 1901, probably in Texas, died In Muleshoe Texas. They had 2 sons & one dau. Eugene "Vera" born 8/19/1910 in Taylor County TX died . She married William Earle Greene 12/15/1927. Uncle Earle was born 1903 and died 1987 in Portales, New Mexico. They had one daughter. Gurla Christine was born 12/11/1912 in Abilene, Taylor Co, Texas, died 8/6/1976 in Sunnymeade, Calif. She married Virgil Allen Pitts and they had two sons & two daughters.
