There sure are a lot of surnames here that I see in posting on our list. My thanks to Kyle Johnson for getting this obit for me...Of course, I posted it on the "terrific" obit page. Under the obit in the paper there were several "one liners" about Circuit Court. I will post what it said under the obit below. Elizabethton Daily Star, Tuesday June 9, 1942 MRS. DONA GREEN, age 42, died in a local hospital Monday a.m. at 9:30 o'clock after an illness of a few weeks. She was a native of Johnson County, but has made her home in Hampton for the past 15 years. Mrs. Green was a member of the Baptist Church of Rittertown. Survivors are her husband, George Green, three daughters, June Dale, Ireland Gale, Sharon Rose; two sons, George D.J., Gilmore; five sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Eggers of Hampton, Mrs. Ruth Holloway of Knoxville, Mrs. Bonnie Sizemore of Monroe, Michigan, Miss Maude Linkis of Monroe,Michigan, Mrs. Gladys Mayes of Michigan, and three brothers, A. D. Linkis, John M. Linkis, and Wesley Linkis, all of Knoxville, and two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Ruth and Ollie Linkis of Knoxville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Rittertown Baptist Church with the Rev. George Westmoreland and Rev. Clarence Snodgrass officiating.
