Is anyone on this list(RootsWeb Personalized >Mailing List (PML)? I would be interested in hearing some feedback. Hi Wanda (and everyone), I signed up for PML, and it is a very good service. When it was first announced, I thought it would be a duplication of all of the information that I currently receive from the surname mailing lists I currently subscribe to. It has proven to be anything but that. I have been surprised to find the messages about the DeLoach family that occur on a regular basis in the county and regional mail lists. Many of them have been queries that I can provide some help, and others have produced new leads. I generally forward the information or query to the DeLoach list. Anyone who is a Supporter of Rootsweb should sign up. If you are not a supporter of RootsWeb, then this is another reason why you should be. While we are talking about RootsWeb, the new WorldConnect Project is fantastic. I have not seen any on-line genealogy service as good as this one. When you find a surname that you are researching, you can download a GEDCOM of a single branch, or the whole thing. You can specify if you want the GEDCOM to be for ancestors or descendants. Pedigree charts and descendant charts are both available. If you have additional information or questions about a certain person or family branch, you can leave a Post-em note attached which is available to the public. I have received numerous new contacts for the surnames that I have placed in WorldConnect. Anyone having their information stored in a genealogy program would benefit from uploading their GEDCOM to the WorldConnect Project. Best part - it is free. Mike
