Hi Everybody, RootsWeb has launched a new service for displaying your family genealogy. The service is presently in Beta testing. I have uploaded a current copy of the DesLoges GEDCOM, and I am very impressed with the results. To view the DesLoges data base, go to: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=javan Use the search feature to find a particular name. In addition to having the normal genealogical data available, you can also have descendancy charts and pedigree charts made for any person. You can download all or a portion of the GEDCOM. The best feature is the instant update of the files. On the current system that I use, you have to make a Web page for each family, then upload all 1239 of them. On the RootsWeb system, all you need to do is upload a current GEDCOM. This is a tremendous time and work saver. I would appreciate comments from anyone who visits the site, especially comparisons with what we have on-line now. If you should want to establish your own site, the URL is: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igmuser.cgi Take care. Mike
