Natchitoches, Louisiana is located about 70 miles south of Shreveport, La. and 35 miles west of my birth place Winnfield, La. It is also the birth place of my grand- mother Kate Carver DeLoach. Northwestern State University La. is located there and the city is a very old and has many historical sites.
