I checked the SMGF Web page to see if we had any new results.  No new participants, but they had added information to the results for Garland Moore DeLoach, James Douglas DeLoach and Kathleen DeLoach Garrett (using her brother as a surrogate).  The new numbers have been added to the results page: http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~javan/desloges/dna/results/results.htm I have been trying to obtain more information about the apparent two different branches of the DeLoach family that the DNA results are revealing.  I mentioned previously that Charles Hubert DeLoach and Jay Allan DeLoach had DNA that was quite a bit different from the other project participants.  I found that their DNA is grouped in the E3b (E1b1b1) Haplotype.  All other participants are in the R1b Haplotype.  We may have other DeLoach descendants in the E3b Haplotype, but without additional project participants, we have no way of knowing.  This is significant, as it means that not everyone with the DeLoach surname is a descendant of Michel DesLoges. We really need to have more participants.  A special need is for descendants of William Elliot DeLoache/Rebecca Workman.  They descend from David DeLoach, the sixth son of William DeLoach/Judith Wall.  This would give us DNA results from all the sons of William DeLoach/Judith Wall who were known to have children. Louisa was born 30 Nov 1840 in Calloway County, Kentucky and died 22 Jan 1926 in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, She first married ML or WL Johnson on 13 Jan 1859 in Claiborne Parish. After her first husband's death she married A T Deloach on 18 Nov 1869 in Columbia County, Arkansas under the name Louisa J Johnson. Additionally, Aaron Thomas died on 13 May 1913 in Claiborne Parish. Aaron and Louisa are my gg-grandparents. I would be interested in any info about this family. Hello DeLoach Family, I am also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. We strongly support our veterans with blankets, christmas donations, weekly visits to the VA hospital, 4th of July parade, meeting them at the airport etc. I am not involved with that committee, I am on the Native American Committee, but I am encouraged by all the support I see.
