He married Eleanor Parker December 22, 1833. I have Jesse DeLoach's father as Joseph Deloach b. abt 1768 in Edgecombe Co, NC and died abt 1820 in Jones Co, GA. In your last reply, you stated that Joseph Deloach's father was Jesse Deloach. Either I have it wrong or you got it backwards by mistake. Can you clarify this for me. Hello, I am inerested in "talking" with Judith or anyone who are connected to the DeLoach sisters, Missouri ( Massonary) & Miriam Frances who married Holland brothers, James A. & Morcadia/Mersedia ? I descend from the DeLoach sister's brother, Floyd Washington DeLoach who at one time lived in Claiborne Parish, La, however ended up in Freestone County, Texas 1862-1863. I received a query concerning the connection between the DeLoach family and the Goggins/Goggans families in South Carolina. A death record for Miss Ella Goggins who died on 28 Jun 1932 in Saluda County, SC stated that her father was John Goggins and her mother was Virginia DeLoache. The informant was Mrs. Lula Berry. A bit of digging in the USGenWeb Archives and FamilySearch.com yielded the following: In the IGI, the parents of Ella Goggins are listed as John Goggans and Jincy Virginia Butler. 1850 Edgefield County, SC Census Page 93 Household 722 GOGGINS,SARAH 66 Widow of James Goggans. Maiden name DeLoach. REBECCA 32 JOHN 20 JINCEY 20 Household 723 BUTLER,HENRY 25 ELIZABETH 28 SATIVA 8 CHESLEY 6 PRICKNEY 4 WILLIAM 1 Household 724 BUTLER,DANIEL 44 MILLEY 46 ALLEN 14 HIZEKIAH 12 OBID 9 H. 6 S. A 4 In the IGI, there is a death date for John Goggins of 1868. 1880 Edgefield County, SC Census Jane Goggins 50 widow Henry 22 Ella 16 Lula 14 Caleb 12 I do not have a record or source for a Sarah DeLoach marrying James Goggans, which would have occurred in about 1804. Lula Goggins Berry, Jincey's sister, stated that the maiden name of Ella and her mother was DeLoach. We know that it was Butler, but this might indicate that Jincey married a DeLoach in Edgefield or Saluda Counties following the 1880 census. Does anyone have information that would: 1) Help identify the Sarah DeLoach who married James Goggans? 2) Any information that would indicate that Jane Jincey Virginia Butler Goggins married a DeLoach following 1880? Since I sent this e mail I have been in contact with Mrs. DeLoach and she said that she sold out of the books several months ago. Also asked if she would be printing any more and she said no. Who knows, maybe the book will show up on amazon.com or some other book resale store. If you find one and there is another one, please let me know. Hi Scarlette, To my knowledge, the only documented information that we have concerning Michel DesLoges prior to his arrival in Isle of Wight County, Virginia is that he sailed from the port of Bristol, England in 1663.
