    3. Debby, The DeLoach reunion is in Claxton, Georgia (Evans County) on the last Sunday in July. It is mostly the descendents of Isham DeLoach (brother of John Calvin DeLoach) through his son John Manning DeLoach, who is my great grandfather. Like I told Harriet, we've had people come out of curiosity and everyone certainly is welcome. The more the merrier! My second cousin down there sends out the mailing list and I would be happy to contact her to add names. If you want more information on this line of DeLoachs, let me know. When I posted that record, I noticed that your grandmothers name read "Genie Brazemore DeLoach". I am familiar with the surname BAZEMORE, as there are lots of them in Bertie County, NC. I thought that the "r" in her name might have been a mistake, but didn't know who to ask. Thanks for letting us know, I will correct the cemetery record. We'll look forward to your news from the DeLoach Reunion. Mike

    3. Hello Mike! I decided to have a peek at the cemeteries that you have recently posted. My grandparents (Tom DeLoach and Genie Bazemore DeLoach) are buried in the Canoochee Cemetery in Evans County, Georgia. I have been there to visit the grave (they died 20+ years before I was born) and have been to all of the others at one time or another since I have relatives buried in each one. Although my father passed away last month, I still plan on going to the DeLoach reunion in July. If I can be of service in collecting information while I am in Georgia please let me know. 3. Cecil DeLoach is the founder of DeLoach Vineyards in Ca. His DeLoach line goes back to William Deloach born in SC 1815 died Crenshaw Ala 1899. I have not made a positive link to William's parents. There is a strong indication that it was Joseph and Lucy, thanks to the help of Joe Spann,Historical Library, Bartow Fl......RHD..<>< On Mon, 28 Jun 1999 03:26:46 EDT Muntean@aol.com writes: >Mike, >Enjoyed a lovely Merlot this weekend from the DelOach Vineyards hare >in >California. 3. Mike, My father (Bill H. DeLoach, Sr.) had contact with Cecil DeLoach and had ordered a few cases of wine to give out as Christmas gifts (I have several of the Cabernet). He once explained the connection to me but I am afraid that I don't remember. It went back several generations but it was traced in Judge Harry's book. Unfortunately my father passed away last month, so I have basically lost my link of information. My father was the last of his siblings and the one who knew how we were related to everyone. Are you familiar with their product? Any idea of their lineage? Hi Gaighl, I first encountered DeLoach wine in the early 1980's while passing through Texas. I was on a business trip by myself, and to pass some time I thought I would browse through a large beer-wine-liquor store that was near the motel I was staying in. I was astonished to see the DeLoach wine selection, and bought a bottle of each type to take home. We enjoyed the wine, and saved the bottles to show friends. I seldom see it here on the East Coast, but when I do, I buy their Chardonnay, as I think it is some of the best I have had. 3. Thanks Mike, No, nothing in particular. Just over in Rootsweb and find that you have to make a "query" of what you want. Whereas, when the lists were on Maiser we had the benefit of going through the messages by date. And, it was relatively simple to do it via e-mail. I probably need to experiment a little more. Might figure out a way to do that on Rootsweb. Haven't seen a way to do much of any reviewing at all via e-mail in the rootsweb lists. As you can see, I get the Digest. Will be unsubbing soon as have to go to LA and AR for two reunions. Be gone two weeks. Have a CARTER reunion in AR, and a MONTGOMERY/OWEN reunion to attend in LA.
