This looks interesting! If you have ancestors who migrated a lot, a new avenue for pursuit of them may be only a mouse-click away for you! ___________________________________ >From "The Daily Board Show" - http://www.radix.net/~merope/dbs.htm Late Breaking News: We've received word here in the DBS newscube that a new genealogy- related project is in the works and will be announced shortly. Called "Migrations", this new project is apparently the brainchild of Patrick Hays, who is active in both the American Local History Network and the USGenWeb Project. Although no formal public announcement has yet been made, the home page of the new project is publicly available at http://www.migrations.org/, and you can also view a number of state pages that are already online. ______________________________________________________________________ If you're interesting helping with Migrations, please contact Patrick Hayes. Hi Everyone, The following query from Tony Brazell presents a nice puzzle. It ties together two daughters of Samuel DeLoach/Mary Boykin, Mary and Selah, with the Barnes, Brasswell and Ray(Rhea) families. Anyone with information concerning the Mary DeLoach who is thought to have married John Rhea can reply directly to Tony. Please provide a cc to this list for others who may also be researching this line. Mike From: "Tony Brazell" <tbrazell@mindspring.com> To: <javan@paonline.com> Subject: The DeLoach, Rhea/Ray and Braswell/Brasseale Families. X-UIDL: 913395218 Status: U Hello, I am researching following families above. I was wondering if you had any feedback on them. My family starts out in Logan County, Ky, around 1792. That is when my great great great grandfather Elias Braswell/Brasseale was born. His father is William Braswell. I quess that you are fimiliar with William. Will is the son of Solomon Bracewell and Mary Deloach of NC. Elias was in the War of 1812 to subdue the bloody Creeks in Alabama. Elias married Phereba Ray/Rhea in Warren County, Tn around 1810. Elias is the brother to Elizabeth Braswell Barnes who married Kinchen Barnes in Summer County, Tn. Both families moved to Blount County, Al about 1830. Elias and Pherby had several children. One is my great great grandfather Elias DeLoach Brasseale. DeLoach is his middle name. Come to find out, I started researching the Rhea/Ray family of Middle Tennessee. One researcher told me that Pherby's father and mother are John Rhea and Mary Deloach. She got that from a book, which i am trying to get my honds on. I was wondering if you can help me........ Thankyou, Tony Brazell

Hi cousin, I do not have the information you are looking for. Just trying to be helpful. You might want to go to: http://members.delphi.com/timcarter/index.html and read the tips on using email genealogy lists. One of the major things is that, to TYPE EVERYTHING IN ALL CAPS is to SHOUT AT YOUR READER. It is harder to read. And, most won't even try to read a message that is sent in all caps. Thus, you might not receive an answer because they just deleted the message. And, the two of you may never know you have a family connection. If someone has bad eyesight, they should set the font for their email to a larger size, and possibly to a style that is easier to read. I wear glasses, and have needed to get my eyes examined for several months now. Know this because I have been having to squint to read regular print, and But, still read my computer without the use of glasses. I use Comic Sans MS font set on Medium. But, even if reading on someone else's computer, I prefer to use lower case because it is easier to read, even when using small size font. Will let you know if I find any of the answers you are (or might be) looking for. I've created a web community called Goethe/Goettee Genealogy for Goethe/Göthe/Goettee family members to discuss topics pertaining to genealogy and their family trees. Also a forum for other branches related to the Goethe family, including the Peeples/Peebles, Gill, Tuten, Sweat, DeLoach(e), Hiers/Hyers/Heirs, Youmans, Speaks, Causey, Mixon/Mixson, Rentz, and Box families. All input is encouraged and welcomed!! It's part of a leading web service called Delphi that specializes in helping people create their own discussion groups, chat rooms, and personal homepages. To join the discussion, simply go to http://forums.delphi.com/m/main.asp?sigdir=goettee If you've never used Delphi before you'll need to go through a quick registration (so you can post messages). It only takes a minute and it's free! Hope to see you there, Allison Goettee (Goethe) Cate MenoCoop@BellSouth.net - Allison Goettee Cate - "Lead us not into temptation but deliver us some e-mail. "
