Hi Everybody, Can anyone help Lynda? From: SANGHL@aol.com Subject: {not a subscriber} MATTIE DELOACH SANGSTER Read with great interest your story on the possible background of the DeLoach family . Our particular interest is Mattie DeLoach (born in Macon County, Georgia), wife of William T. Sangster, and who died in 1897. She died after the birth of her 2nd child and we take her age to have been mid-twenties. Her parents were Davis (DOB c. 1829) and Georgia Ann DeLoach (DOB c. 1836). Davis and Georgia had 14 children, 10 of whom were still living in 1900. Davis had a sister Augusta (DOB c. 1859), who took over the upbringing of the child Mattie left behind at her death, and who was still in the home of that child (then adult, married and with family, too) in 1920 census. We'd love to know more about Mattie and her DeLoach family. To find out all we know about Mattie and see a picture, go to (personal website page) http://hometown.aol.com/sanghl/san-hist.htm Any reply welcome.. Thanks in advance, Lynda Ollenburger Sangster

This is scary folks but true. Elderly person has outlived her savings and retirement/social security is not enough and does not want to accept Medicade but needs 24 hour assistance. Need help finding a knowledgeable and trustworthy collector to value stamps. These stamps are dated as early as 1892. Yes, that is the actual date on the stamps. All are in plastic wrap except early WW II German stamps circa 1940. Yes, the 'bad guys' picture is on the stamps. First page is United States..."Issued January 2nd and March 3rd, 1893, in commemoration of Columbian World's Fair held at Chicago, Illinois, from October 21st, 1892 to May 1st, 1893." Please contact me privately not thru the lists or groups. Mike Ps...Sorry for any interruption. This is kind of an emergency but not a fire sale.

Dear Jean, Thanks for writing back, and so quickly. Daniel E. Jones wasn't a relative of the DeLoaches, but I do know that he sold his 1/2 interest in 4100 acres to John Calvin DeLoach in 1836. I was pondering if that was that was the way that he "donated" land for the church and cemetery, but I wasn't sure. Daniel was a wealthy landowner in the area before he moved to Lumpkin County in the 1840s. Thanks for the help, William scott
WILLIAM, JUDGE HARRY DELOACH'S BOOK WAS THE SOURCE OF MY INFO. REGARDING THE ACQUISTION OF THE PROPERTY FOR DELOACH'S CHURCH,HOWEVER, THERE WERE TWO DELOACH CHURCHES AND THEREFORE, DANIEL E.JONES MAY HAVE GIVEN SOME OF THE LAND. WAS HE A RELATIVE, ALSO? I DO NOT HAVE MY RECORDS HERE IN TEXAS BUT WILL TRY TO REMEMBER TO LOOK THIS UP WHEN I GET BACK HOME TO ALABAMA. PLEASE KEEP ME INFORMED OF UPDATES REGARDING SAME. THANK YOU. SINCERELY, JEAN DELOACH MYRICK GOBER
I need to prove lineage to the Colonial Dames. Can someone tell me if Joseph Deloach who married Leasy/Lucy Johnson 15 April 1795 in Johnston Co., N.C. left a will or a bible that indicates his children's names. Also did his father Samuel Deloach who was married to Jerusha ? abt. 1765 leave a will or a bible? Are any of you Deloach descendants members of the Hugenot Society? Can anyone answer William's question From: "WILLIAM SCOTT JR" <wicked11@email.msn.com> I just paid a visit to the DeLoach site again, and stumbled on the DeLoach Church minutes (the church in Bulloch county, GA). I have a question, if you could help me out----wasn't some of the land for the church and cemetery donated by Daniel E. Jones? "A History of Evans Couinty" said that he gave land for them. I would appreciate your thoughts... William Scott
Regarding James Morse's message about Hannah Bostick. According to my Father (Ben Tillman DeLoach)'s Bible, His Great Grandfather was David DeLoach and his Great Grandmother was Hannah Bostick Breeland DeLoach. David was born in 1774 but I have no information on my Great Great Grandmother, Hannah. The family ;lived in Old Beaufort District, S.C. in a section that is now Hampton County, S.C. I, too, have been unable to find any records (birth, deaths or burial) of either David or Hannah. However, one son (Michael DeLoach and his spouse Rebecca Jane DeLoach) are buried in the DeLoach Cemetery in the Nixville area of Hampton County, S.C. David & Hannah had seven children: (1) Michael DeLoach, born March 4, 1826 who married Rebecca Jane; (2) Jacob C. DeLoach who married Mary Tuten; (3) Sarah D.DeLoach born August 11, 1828 and married Michael Mixon; (4) Rebecca DeLoach, born 1822, and married Jim Mixon; (5) Mary Penelope DeLoach, born 1817 and married Thomas Louis Gohagan and John Blanchard Goldin Long; (6) Margaret DeLoach, who married Nathaniel Ruth and (7) James E. DeLoach , who married Elizabeth Goethe. I have been unable to locate any information on the parents of David or Hannah Bostick DeLoach and I, too, am interested in any information on them. The 1830 Census record of Beaufort County, S.C. (Page 311 of St. Lukes Parish) lists David DeLoach and Hannah DeLoach. I would be interested in any information which you may be able to develop. Received this from another list and thought someone might want to take advantage of the freebie. Richard Use the Roots Cellar Free: 27 March - 3 April 2000 Everton's Roots Cellar has over one million names of ancestors -- linked to the genealogists pursuing them.
