Dorothy, Melissa DeLoach Bowren was the Daughter of Mark DeLoach, My great-Grandfather's brother. I have infor re: her grandfather Richard, and even have his 'family bible' (actually my father has it). My grandmother, and my aunts have lived in Indpendence Co AR all their Lives. After discovering the information re: my grandpa Seaborn and his Dad, Richard - The folks on the DeLoach list assisted me in tracing them back to Michel Desloges. In fact, my dad has some old pictures of some of the DeLoach's, I do beleive there is a picture of Mark DeLoach - Melissa's dad - let me look again.. I would be glad to tell you all I know about this line of DeLoach's. Kathy DeLoach Duncan
Dear Kathy, I saw your message about the family bible. I am always on the look-out for family bibles to be recorded for the DAR chapter to which I belong. Do you think your dad would consent to allowing the record to be in the library in Washington? Hello Bertha, Who knows why computers behave the way they do... I looked through my "old" records and can now explain the connection of Millicent and William. Yes, it is the same line as mine. Do you want a hard copy of what I have? If so, send me your home address and I will send it on to you. By the way, do you have a business in antique books? I have been actively searching for a copy of a book which has been in my husband's family for generations and findly found one. I am having it reprinted now. Hopefully it will be finished by the end of June. Neil Wiese 3712 Charlton Ave. Waco, Texas 76711-1404 254-754-6847 ----- Original Message ----- From: B. Here is another PML. All of these are generated by RootsWeb from other mail lists, and so most of the senders are not members of the DeLoach Mail List. If you have data to share with the sender, you should contact them directly. Here is a follow-on from one that was posted a couple of days ago: Source: ARINDEPE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [AR IND.] Fwd: DeLoach/Bowren From: JaniceCall@aol.com Dorothy: I'm very interested in your roots (DeLoach and Bowren). I'll just bet you and I are connected in some way. First of all - the Deloach family: My mother's sister (Ethel Davis) married an Oscar Reeves from Floral, Ark. She is not deceased but Oscar is still living and is in his late 80's. Oscar Reeves' mother was Mattie Deloach who married Rufus Reeves. They had several children, one of which was Oscar Reeves. The children of Oscar and Ethel Reeves are my cousins. If you think this family is related to you, then I can put you in touch with some of them. Also, I have an old old school picture from a school near Floral and there are several Deloach's in that picture. Give me the names of some of your Deloach family and I'll look to see if they are on the picture for you. Now regarding the name Bowren: One of my dad's aunts was Alberta Sanders and she married a man by the name of Iverson Bowren. They lived in Independence County, Ark. and had a large family there. Alberta and Iverson are buried at a cemetery near Pangburn, Ark. there in Independence County. (They were born in the 1800's). I am in contact with one of their children from Pangburn and have their birth dates/death dates. Do you have an Iverson Bowren in your line? Where do you live? I live in Arnold, MO (abt. 17 miles just South of St. Louis.) Good luck and please keep in touch. Janice Sanders Callahan
John, Your E caught my eye right away as I was a DeLoach of Ga. & married a Myrick!! Have collected some data on Myrick's & of course, volumes have been written/compiled on DeLoach's.......Am @ the "brick Wall" on my Myrick line....Husband's great grandfather died during Civil War & am still trying to locate grave & documents regarding his death. If your are interested in data I have, please E mail me. Sincerely, Jean DeLoach Myrick Gober
Jean, Yes, I would like to see your MYRICK data, and perhaps we can make something of it together. As I was posting the cemetery information, I was reviewing data sent to me by a cousin/ fellow researcher and happened to notice the Mary who m. MYRICK, and nothing further is mentioned in that material, but I may have something else in my files that gives more background on her and her husband. I'll let you know what I can find out. I am also interested to know your DeLOACH line. Thanks for responding. John in TX JEANGENES@aol.com wrote: > > John, > Your E caught my eye right away as I was a DeLoach of Ga. & married a > Myrick!!
