Seeking info on my mother, Clara Gusberg & Samuel Edward Cole who were married in Aug. 1917 in Hartford,CT. By 1919 my mom had a son in Hartford and the birth certificate says: 2nd child. As children we were always told my mom had a child named COLE. Inasmuch as Clara & Sam were living in Newark,DE., in 1918 I assumed the child was born there or someplace in DE. either before they married or after. Both Coles worked in paper mills and may have gone to CT. for work but the 1918 draft registration of Sam Cole says that he was unemployed and under medical care living at 48 No, Chaple St., Newark, with my mom. I am in declining health and advancing age and can't travel;too much to perform my own research so I would dearly love to sole this mystery before it's too late; anything at all you can do would be greatly appreciated any costs involved paid for. I am told there is a De. birth index up to 1923. I can't find Sam in the 1920 DE. census but I did find my mom in the CT. 1920. Best wishes and be well. peter19252000@juno.com
