Hi List I have just joined you and am hoping there is someone out there who can help with my first venture in the U.S.A. Is it possible to check if Andrew Park and Mary Jane Morrison married on 29 October 1877, somewhere in Delaware? Also, is it possible to check if their son, William Morrison Park was born, also somewhere in Delaware, in 1877? Does anyone know any source - e.g. the 1880 census, directories, etc., where these names may be checked? I look forward to some help, please! Beryl

The Historical Society of Delaware has a surname file of about 500,000 cards which indexes some of their records. They will search it for you for a fee of $20.00. Their address is: The Historical Society of Delaware 505 Market Street Mall Wilmington, DE 19801 You could try accessing the LDS site at http://familysearch.org/ You can search by locality, surname, author, etc. You can also find out where the closest Family History Center is so that you could order films and do the research.
