HI Ruth, Don't know if this will help but I checked the 1820 AIS Federal census index. There were 6 George CROUSE listed. 2 in NY 2 in PA 1 in OH 1 in VA. None in DE. No KRAUSS were listed. I checked the 1840 AIS Federal census index for Leonard KRAUSS Cecil Co. MD Page 290; Leonard CROUSE NY Montgomery County Page 349.
