I am trying to find out about Elizabeth Phillips Hurd who married Nathan Jester. She was born in 1808 and died in 1877. I believe she was from Kent County, De. Nathan was from there. She had several children, one of whom was Mary Ellen Jester who married Robert Wells, who had a child, Orlena Catherine Wells, who married Millard Filmore Jones, who had a child, Emmett Alvin Jones, who had a child, Frances Belle Jones, who had a child Sharon Lee Terca, who is me. Can someone tell me if Elizabeth's maiden name is Hurd or Phillips, and was she married before to a Hurd? And can you give me more background on Robert? Who were his parents? I am relatively sure he was born in 1827 Thanks, Shari "GENEALOGISTS DON'T DIE, THEY JUST LOSE THEIR CENSUS." author unknown _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Have found the birth of Nathan Jester b 7-20-1784 son of Ebenezar & Sarah Jester, but no Elizabeth. Don't forget that in those times a mother often used her mothers maiden name as the middle name for her child. Some even used the sur name of there pastor or a beloved neighbor. This info should be at the Archives in Dover. Good luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sharon Terca <sharonterca@hotmail.com> To: <DELAWARE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 12, 2001 9:44 AM Subject: Unidentified subject! > I am trying to find out about Elizabeth Phillips Hurd who married Nathan > Jester.
