Hi again, I forgot to add something I can look in here at home, and just did--the index to Scharf's History of Delaware (1888) has three Keys refs. 1. Gen. E. D. Keys led the Fourth Regiment Del. Infantry (Civil War) from May 1863, when it came out of winter quarters and made a feint toward Richmond. I don't see his name elsewhere on the page (p. 370). Detailed history of the Del. Regiments has been done, because of research done before the recent placing of a Del. monument at Gettysburg. It's possible that Gen. Keys was not a Delawarean, but that this Reg. served under him. 2. John F. Keys of Wilmington, New Castle Co., was a member of the Vestry of The Reformed Episcopal Church of the Redeemer (8th & Monroe Sts., Wilm.) as of 1888 (p. 710). 3. From a mixed list of taxpayers of Duck Creek and Little Creek Hds., Kent Co., 1785, Richard Keys (p. 1125).
