Thank you, Jodi Our Martin Family *Samuel Martin, b. 6/25/1864 North Bowers Beach, DE, d. 6/22/1944 was married to Alice Pauline Anderson Martin, b. 3/8/1882 Philadelphia, PA, d. 6/23/1974 Milford, DE. Supposedly, Samuel is the end of a long historic line of Martin watermen and is a descendant of "Captain George Martin of Wilmington". *Alice, arrived in Dover with her brother on "The Orphan Train" from Philadelphia around 1895 and was "selected" by a Dr. ??? who lived in Bowers Beach, she never saw or heard of her brother again, he was 8 years old. *Children of Samuel and Alice: Samuel Kemp, Robert (Bobby), Rose, Mary, James Henry, Joseph, Pauline and Michael (died as a child)
