Is there anyone that might have any information on the family name of ABDIL, or JOSEPH. This would probably be in Sussex Co or maybe up into Kent county.
Sharon, do you have any Jordan's?. I really appreciate the time you are taking to do this. Betty - Here`s another thought on those messages not coming back to you. I may be way off base here, but could it be an AOL thing? I`ve read somewhere that it might have something to do with your preferences set up? Another excellent resource is The USGenWeb Project. The Delaware USGenWeb site is located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~degenweb/ . Currently, all 3 counties have coordinators and great, growing web sites. But the USGenWeb's mission of making data available for free on the web leaves much room for additional volunteers who are interested in providing transcriptions of data, historical information, biographies, etc., etc., etc. Please contact me if you would like to participate in this wonderful project. :) Shari Handley Delaware State Coordinator The USGenWeb Project ----- Original Message ----- From: John Rhymes <longstrt@gs.net> To: <DELAWARE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 26, 2001 7:34 PM Subject: Re: [DELAWARE] lookup offer > Hi Carolyn, > > Maybe you would be more interested in the Delaware website, or even > coordinating one of the counties. Hello Sharon - Thanks for offering look ups. Am researching my grgrgrandfather Benjamin Jones Shain. His father (unknown Shain) was a sea captain from Delaware, Smyrna abt mid to late 1700s. I know this doesn`t give you much to go on, but would appreciate any information. Thanks to those that responded to my inquiry concerning a rollcall. I can see where that information would be very interesting and helpful. Ann Johnson Ohio
Hi Carolyn, Maybe you would be more interested in the Delaware website, or even coordinating one of the counties. It's at http://www.geocities.com/heartland/2335/index.html John New Orleans ------------------------ "C.F. I am much interested in information that you have concerning Delaware sources but please take me off of the mailing list of people e-mailing each other. Sharon, thanks so much for the effort. Guess I'll just have to keep digging. I appreciate your offer to help. Thank you so much for your help. Phyllis
Hello Listers, I sent a message to this list at 10:30 a.m. today and it has not come to me. Is it lost in cyber space? I guess this one is a test. Thanks, Betty Torno St. Louis, MO
Gwen, So sorry, not a Deputy, I'll keep looking if you give me another name. Do you have more specific idea of the location? I'm finding out while doing these lookups just how close the counties are to each other. Don't give up Sharon
Rachel, I don't see anything, except there doesn't seem to be any listed for Pearsons Corner In Queen Ann. There is a Pearsons Grove on the map on the Kent County, DELAWARE side. Just over the line on Road 96, there is a church there. It looks like its on "Downs Chapel Road". That might be worth looking into. I hope I helped some Sharon
