    3. Oops. I forgot to mention that the name "Romy" here in west-central Ohio is also used for "Jerome" as well as "Roman". 3. Perhaps it was a form of the man's name "Roman". You could hear this name here in west-central Ohio. Men who have it are called "Romy". 1. [DELAWARE] List Guidelines
    2. Shari Handley
    3. Hi DELAWARE researchers, These are the same guidelines that have served us very well over on the LOWER-DELMARVA-ROOTS list. If you have any questions, just give me a yell <g>. There are really very few rules involved in becoming and remaining a subscriber to this list. The main rule is that all list members remain pleasant with each other. That is, no "flames", or notes with a mean or angry tone, will be tolerated on the list at all. If you are unhappy about something another listmember has posted, please contact the list administrator with your concerns. I ask that you do not send your complaint directly to the listmember or to the list itself. Also, if it comes to my attention that one list member is sending "flames", harassing, threatening or vulgar messages to another, either on the list or off of it, the offending member will be unsubscribed and blocked from posting or subscribing to the list. The only other request I have is that posts to the lists must be pertaining to some aspect of Delaware genealogy. I realize that, occasionally, someone may wish to post a message which is not technically on-topic, but for some reason has particular importance to the list. Please clear these with the listowner before posting. Short, *one-time* commercial messages advertising services or products are allowed if they are of particular interest to the group. But please, no email spamming. And finally, searches for living persons are not allowed. Now, I know that cases come up in which someone may be looking for someone who has or might have specific genealogical information or records (for example, a family Bible that mentions your ancestor), or you may wish to post a message looking for living descendants of an ancestor for the purpose of exchanging information, and this is OK. Thanks, Shari Handley shari@tyaskin.com DELAWARE-L list admin

    1. [DELAWARE] New Delaware-L administrator
    2. Shari Handley
    3. Greetings, DELAWARE-L subscribers, My name is Shari Handley, and I am the new list administrator. I'd like to send my appreciation to Pat Hall for her service to this list, and for giving me the chance to follow in her footsteps as admin. I am also the new State Coordinator for the Delaware USGenWeb Project (DEGenWeb). I see the DEGenWeb site and the DELAWARE-L mailing list as complimentary to each other. I hope that you all will use both to help you further your research in Delaware. The DEGenWeb site has recently been updated, and you can see it at http://www.rootsweb.com/~degenweb/ . Another of my duties is as list admin for the LOWER-DELMARVA-ROOTS mailing list, which enjoys a very active subscribership of over 850 members. I've learned some valuable lessons in my 5 years working with LDRoots, and these have led me to administer my lists in a low-key way, but with just a few guidelines to help ensure that things run smoothly. I will post these in a message to follow, and would ask that you take a moment to read them over. If you ever have any questions, I'm just an email away! :) Happy to be here, Shari Handley shari@tyaskin.com DELAWARE-L list admin
