Looking for a link of my Benson family from Smyrna and a Mary Allen who was 31 in the census of 1850 and her son (?) Benjamin Allen who was 12. At the time they were living with Benjamin Benson and Maria Shewell Benson who ran a carriage factory in Smyrna. I found an old letter where my grandfathers brother, Benjamin Benson wrote home in 1867 to his parents, Joseph Barton Benson. He was about 14 at the time and he mentioned cousin Mary Allen and cousin Benjamin Allen. Also mentions cousin Joe Hoffecker. Does any of this sound familiar to any one? Thank you.
