Dawn: Your inquiry jumped out at me. Let me explain why. My gr. grandpa John Morris, born in Murderkill Hundred, Delaware c. 1818-20, came to Ohio (Greene County, Bellbrook area) with his older siblings: William (with wife), Thomas, and their sister, Unity. Those four siblings I know for sure. They arrived about 1826 after having lost both of their parents to death according to the story. The story goes that they came west over the mountains in an ox drawn cart with "a group of Welsh farmers." They first stopped in Delaware OH, then the Morris' went on to Greene County. Now, Dawn, Unity Morris, married a SOWARD. I saw their graves are in the Bellbrook Cemetery, Greene County. Soward is a familiar name around Dayton, Ohio, whence I come. If memory serves me well, Unity Morris Soward was born ca. 1810-1813. I wonder if these Sowards belong to you. If I can think of Unity Morris Soward's husband's name, I'll email you. Hope this helps.
