1850 Census, Duck Creek, Kent County, Delaware Charles White, age 72, no occupation, born in Maryland Maria White, age 46, born Delaware John White, age 11, born Delaware Margaret White, age 8, born Delaware James T. White, age 5, born Delaware I believe that Charles is buried at Bryn Zion Church in Kent County, Delaware. Anyone familiar with this cemetery and its location? Not sure if Maria is there with him or not, but I'd like to check. Charles was born in 1777. He died 4/26/1859. After Charles' death, Maria appears to have moved to New Castle County, Delaware (Wilmington area) where she is running a boarding house on Tatnall Street. She's listed there in the 1860 census as a widow with John (age 33) and Rebecca Hurley (age 32) and a William T. Thompson, age 7. John, Rebecca and William are all listed as having been born in Delaware. Maria's maiden name may have been Matterford. I found a microfilm record that listed a Charles White and Maria Matterford married on or about 6/30/1838. I'm not sure where this marriage took place, but I assume Kent County. If any of this is familiar to anyone, please let me know. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a brick wall. Thanks! Melissa Cecil County, Maryland
