His lineage, beginning with his paternal grandmother is as follows: Alice Valerie GUIDROZ b. 15 Sep 1884, McCloud, Lafourche Parish, LA [birth located in Lockport Church records Vol. 2 pg 108]; d. 20 May 1966, Raceland, Lafourche Parish, LA; m. 14 February 1909, LA to Louie Etienne DAVIET. Alice was the daughter and eldest child of Joseph Saulet GUIDROZ and Adelle Louisa CHAUVIN. Joseph Saulet GUIDROZ b. 23 May 1856 (have second date, 20) Lafourche Parish, LA [birth located in Lockport Church records Vol. 1 #201]; d. 14 April 1931 of throat cancer; m. 29 January 1883 in Lafourche, Louisiana [located in Thibodaux Court House Marriage Records Vol. 24 #16] to Adelle Louisa CHAUVIN. Adelle was the daughter of Emile Louis CHAUVIN and Marie Josephine PART. Adelle and Joseph were 3rd cousins once removed, connected through the FALGOUT family. Charlotte Celima/Celina's parents were Joseph Damien VERLION DEGRUISE and Charlotte FALGOUT. Joseph Damien VERLION DEGRUISE (also appears in records as Duminic Joseph/ Dominque/ Dumeni/ Dumenil) b. 1 September 1785, New Orleans, Orleans Parish, LA; d. by 2 April 1853 [noted in son Joseph's marriage record listed in SLR Vol. 3 pg 170]; m. 13 July 1812, Assumption Church, Plattenville, Assumption Parish, LA to Charlotte FLAGOUT, daughter of George Beaumont (Antoine) FLAGOUT and Marguerite Marie CHAUVIN.
