Hello All, I'm soon to be on the way home to StL... after visiting my Mother in NO who is not doing so well. Anyway, I just came from the HNOC where I got a few records regarding Degruys in C 13? [colonial] records. Very frustrating... tried to get in yesterday but they were setting up for a genealogy event on Santa Domingo and Haiti today.... then they wouldn't let anyone in until 2 and they closed at 4:30 today. Was lucky to get in at all. When I have a scanner available, I will scan these C 13 docs for posting on the web site. Can't say I have anything new... but what I do have I will gladly share.... I took a LOT of digital photos at David Perrin's house... lots of Degruys and some Gaiennies and some Fazende photos... so these will be coming in the next week....IF they came out well enough to read... really counting on Photoshop Elements to retrieve some dubious shots...... At HNOC, some mentioning in C 13 of the Niagara Post... but nothing specific to our Degruy.... think I'll need to get the docs from Clayton in Houston to make any real headway..... Will post as soon as possible. Wally Schneidau gave me a wonderful tour of the Conveyance Office. I never would have found it without his help.... very obscure... and even more so the mezzanine area where the actual succession/conveyance books are... More later... when I get back. Regards.. Renee
