Hi, Does anyone have a birth certificate or a baptismal certificate for Pierre [Dufouchard] Verloin Degruy who was married to [Francisca] [Azelia] Marie Azelie Daspit de St. Amand. I have him as being born in 1779 and dying 23 May 1858. I have his obit: Obit: On Sunday Evening, the 23d inst., at 9 c’clock, PIERRE VERLOIN DeGRUY, aged 79 years, a native of Louisiana and veteran of 1814-’15. His friends and acquaintances are invited to attend his funeral this afternoon, at 4 1/2 o’clock, from the residence of his son, L. F., DeGruy, off Melpomene Street, between Hercules and White Streets. I do have the marriage record: 9 Mar 1816 SLC vol 12, SLC, M6, 169 “This is to Certify that Pedro Verloin Degruys, native and resident of New Orleans, Son of Joseph Verloin Degruys and Mariana Couturier and Azelia St. Amand, native and resident of this parish, Daughter of Miguel St. Amand and Francisca Zeringue were lawfully married on the 9th day of March 1816 According to the Rite of the Roman Catholic Church Rev. Antonio de Sedella officiated in the presence of Juan Phelipe Boutett and Alexandro St. Amand and Joseph Verloin Degruys, Witnesses.
