Rene, I want to wish you and everyone a very Merry Christmas and may your Christmas be filled with many blessings and much happiness and joy,. I want to tell you that a direct descendant of Antoine Jean Baptiste Verloin Degruy has moved back to New Iberia from New Orleans, and she grew up here in New Iberia and we were girlhood friends, her name is Anna Ross Maulin Duval Twichell, and her email address is [email protected], and I sent her email address to you awhile back sometime in November and she said that she has never received an email from you concerning the Degruy website, she is a history and genealogy lover and is very interested in learning more about the Verloin Degruy line. Anna Ross descends to the Degruy line through Marie Threse Degruy, who was the wife of Francois Cezar Boutte, Senior and the daughter of Antoine Jean Baptiste Verloin Degruy. In talking about genealogy and history, Anna Ross shared with me this piece of information that I think will be of great interest to the Degruy website, she told me that it was always said in her family that the Degruy were related to or descended to Madame de Noailles, who was very closely tied to Versallies Palace and King Louis 14th of France. I looked up in an old encylopedia and found that the de Noailles family of France were a noble family drawing their lordship from titles near BEauvis, with Antoine the noted admiral of 16th Century and his brothers, Francois and Gilles, ambassadors, the de Noailles family attained promience as great generals of the 17th and 18th centuries. Anna Ross has a master's degree in history and she has done extensive research on Louisiana history and is very interested in becoming a member of the Degruy family website, Thank you very much for your kind consideration, Merry Christmas, kitty courts> Date: Mon, 15 Dec 2008 11:35:22 -0600> From: [email protected]> To: [email protected]> Subject: Re: [DEGRUY] message from David> > This sounds like the perfect place.> Someone, however, has already responded, so it may be gone.> But David's number is 504 828 6245> I'd call him as soon as you can and maybe you can head off the others at > the pass, so to speak.> Just tell him how you connect.
