SIMUEL DE GRUY, beloved husband of Mrs. Emma De Gruy; father of Simuel Verlin and Oscar De Gruy, Mildred Smith and Almiter Cooper; ; brother of Nellie Hicks, Katie De Gruy, and Beatrice Williams; brother-in-law of Nellie Balle [?] and Olivia Stewart; father-in-law of Nellie, Juanita and Laura De Gruy, Raymond Cooper and Emanuel Smith; also survived by 13 grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; aged 53 years, a native of Barataria, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also employes of Jefferson Parish School Board and all the churches of the vicinity, are respectfully invited to attend the wake services on Friday night, February 8, 1957, at New Zion Baptist Church, Crown Point, La..
