DE GRUY- Laurence Joseph DeGruy, Sr., on Friday, November 4, 1977 at 12:45 o'clock p.m., beloved husband of Mrs. Marguerite Victoria Llopis DeGruy; father of Aline M. Francis, Shirley M. Galler, Laurence J., Jr., Elmoa and Raymond F. DeGruy, all of this City and Earl P. DeGruy of Los Angeles, California; brother of Josephine Julian Barnes of Los Angeles, California; father-in-law of Albert Francis, Jr., Geraldine DeGruy, Claire DeGruy, Christine DeGruy, Shirley DeGruy and the late Dr. Fred Galler; cousin of Ferdinand Philips and the late Marguerite, Thomas and Emile :Philips; also survived by 20 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also officers and members of Knights of Peter Claver Council No. 50, are invited to attend the funeral. Services from Blandin Funeral Home, 1116 St. Claude Street, on Tuesday November 9, 1977 at 9:30 o'clock a.m., followed by Mass at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church at 10 o'clock a.m. Wake and recitation of the Rosary at 8 o'clock p.m on Monday night at the palor.
