I'm working with a cd this am, "Genealogy of the French in North America." The information on the Couturiers says: Couturier, Pierre [Bernard & Marie David] surgeon [chirurgien] married 1744 [Louisiana], USA, marriage contract 1744-12-19 [depositary ... Garic] LeKintrex dit Dupont, Marie Francoise [Jean Joseph LeKintrek dit Dupont & Anne Marie Doss [la-ct-1] ou Pof [la-ct-2] ou Fosse [1744] Couple: Ref. [couple]: La-CT [1] 133 1] Pierre, married Kamouraska [Qc] 1784-10-19 Marie Anne Raymond Bibliography: Louisiana Marriage Contracts; Programme de recherches en demographie historique de l'Universite de Montreal [PRDH-RAB] Marriages of ancestors of that couple: Over 2 generations 1700-1799 = 3 ---------------------- Ok... some questions regarding all this 1] The only children I have for Pierre and Marie Francoise LeKintrek were Marianne and Francoise. Did you all have a Pierre married to Marie Anne Raymond????? 2] In that citation above, is Kamouraska in Canada; is that Qc short for Quebec... 3] Is there anything about this citation that we should pay special attention to? Is there a chance that Pierre could be a mistake? I wonder if that Pierre [m Marie Anne Raymond] could be found in Louisiana records or if he, perhaps, stayed in Canada and that is why we don't know anything about him. That's it. I look forward to your thoughts on this. Renee
