H. DE GRUY Death of Former Well-Known Sugar Planter H. De Gruy, son of the late Onezine De Gruy, one of Jefferson Parish's oldest residents, died at 9 o'clock Monday evening at the residence of his nephew, Albert G. Nicaud, of 1440 Johnson Street, this city. The funeral was held from the residence at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The dead man lived for many years in Jefferson Parish, and at one time was a very successful planter in that section. Through adverse circumstances, however, he lost his estate and had of late years been living with his nephew. One daughter and six sons survive him. He was 62 years old. Photo of H.
