    2. DR. SCOTT DIES; SERVICES TODAY Was Fourth Generation in Medical Practice Dr. Joseph T. Scott, New Orleans surgeon and the fourth Dr. Joseph T. Scott in his family to practice medicine in Louisiana, died Thursday morning at Foundation hospital following a six weeks' illness. Funeral services for Dr. Scott, a descendant of distingished Colonial ancestors, will be held at 9:45 a. m. Friday at the House of Bultman, St. Charles and Louisiana avenues. A requiem mass will follow at the Holy Name of Jesus church and interment will be in Metairie cemetery. Dr. Scott, who was 52 years old and resided at 3439 Octavia, was born, reared and educated in New Orleans. He was the son of the late Dr. Joseph T. Scott and the late Florestine Forno Scott. His grand-father and great-grandfather were also practicing physicians. In 1927, Dr. Scott was graduated from the Tulane university medical school. Following internships at Merch hospital and Touro Infrimary, he went into private practice with his father. He was a member of the International College of Surgeons and the Orleans Parish Medical Society. He was also a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity, of the Louisiana Club and of several Carnival organizations. Among Dr. Scott's ancestors were: Pierre Daspit de St. Amand, surveyor geneal of Louisiana under Bienville; and Captain John Scott and Colonel George Taylor of the Revolutinary War fame. He is survived by his widow, the former Ruth Jahncke, by a daughter, Miss Helen Scott, who ruled as queen of the recent Momus Carnival ball; by a stepdaughter, Miss Margaret Menge, and by a sister, Mrs. Charles N.
