    3. From LA FAMILLE GRAVOIS, LES TROIS CENTS ANNEES PASSEES by Roland Anthony Ravois, 1997 Page 31 "Jeanne Cantrelle, daughter of Jacques Cantrelle and his second wife, Marie Marguerite Larmusiau, married Louis Judice who was born in New Orleans of French parents. Louis Judice was shown with his family, on 24 arpents of land, at Cabahanoce just upriver of the 4 arpents of land reserved for the church in the 1766 ce3nsus. The 1766 and the 1769 census were taken by Louis Judice, who served as the first Commandant in Cabahanoce from 1765 to 1770. He and his family moved to Donaldsonville in 1770 when he became Commandant of Lafourche des Chetimaches. All of their land holdings were sold in 1774. Louis Judice proved to be a good friend to all the Acadians on both the First and Second Acadian Coast. It is felt that he may have been very helpful in helping many Acadians of Caahanoce, such as Jean Gravois and his uncle, Joseph Gravois, obtain land in the Donaldsonville and Lafourche areas." This is a huge book and there may be more Judice references
