    3. The following messages from Laurie Main and Virginia Pruet were hung up in the Rootsweb mailing list administration folders. I've extracted only the messages themselves and am posting them here. The probably reason that the messages got "hung up" is that either Laurie or Virginia, or both, simply hit "Reply." Why is that a problem? If the message to which they were responding was very brief, then their message wouldn't have gotten hung up. But if they hit 'Reply" to one message in an entire Digest.... or if the message they were responding to was a very long message itself, then Rootsweb simply cannot handle the resulting length.... and the message gets "hung up." So, please keep in mind: if you hit reply to a Digest message or if you hit reply to an individual message that is very long in and of itself, please delete everything other than the specific message or sentence that you are replying to. Otherwise, your message will get hung up at Rootsweb, and no one will ever see it. Here are the two messages in question: ------------------------- In a message dated 1/15/2009 2:26:16 P.M. Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes: My thoughts lean toward the idea that this was more a financial divorce than anything else. Pery evidently (if I remember correctly he was a bit in over his head in business) was in debt and was "loosing " or using his wife's dowry/money and property for his business dealings. This divorce of bed & board was to preserve the wife's financial security, not necessarily to separate the couple. Anyone else's ideas? Virginia Pruet ----------------------- Yes Virginia, I believe that is correct. From the revised Civil Code of the State of Louisiana 1871. Laurie Main RHB [No Chain Emails Please!]
