    3. Cousins, Pay attention those of you who live in the New Orleans area! You have a chance to meet Carl Ekberg, PhD who was professor emeritus at Illinois State University and who is an expert in the French in Colonial Illinois. He is the scholar who has written so much about Fort de Chartres, Kaskaskia, etc. I am in his debt for the many times he has helped me with my own "Illinois Country" research . He has given many suggestions to help us research our Antoine. He is the one who brought the famous "lead plates" into our consciousness and informed us that our Antoine buried one somewhere in Missouri. We owe Professor Ekberg a great debt. I hope if you attend this event you will thank him personally for all he has done for our research. A list of many of his books can be found at the end of this email Here are some details, or you can go to the HNOC site. *Saturday: Two screenings of "Under These Same Stars"* <http://thnoc.pmailus.com/pmailweb/ct?d=Ne75sgAuABL-----AAQ83A> * Saturday, September 25 9:30 a.m. & 1 p.m. Williams Research Center 410 Chartres Street Admission is $5. */Reservations: (504) 523-4662 or //wrc@hnoc.org/ <mailto:wrc@hnoc.org>/ / The Collection will present two screenings of the film "Under These Same Stars---The Céladon Affair" on Saturday at the Williams Research Center. Based on historian Carl Ekberg's book /Stealing Indian Women/, "Under These Same Stars" tells the story a mixed-race hunter's need for companionship and of a slave woman's choice between her children and an opportunity for love and freedom. It is based on a French colonial story from 1773. After each screening Ekberg, Dan Johnson (director of the film), Bob Streit (screenwriter, actor, and associate producer), and Molly Johnson (associate producer, costume director, and production coordinator) will discuss the film and take questions from the audience.
