So it should read The Marquise in hot pink taffeta ----------- Dear Renée, "The Marquise in taffeta "Cuisse-de-nymphe-émue", embroidered with silver eglantine" "Cuisse-de-nymphe-émue" is the color "hotpink". It is the name of a rose. What a lovely name, textually "Thigh of excited nymph"... but impossible to translate ! Regards.
