Saw your note re: the DeGruy mantle and am interested. We are in the process of restoring Hermitage Plantation (ca. 1812-14) in Ascension Parish and would be used there. Please send more information. My connection to the DeGruy family is as follows: Marie Louise Hyacinthe DeGruy married Antoine Boutte and 3 of their daughters married 3 Judice brothers in the St. Martinville area in the late 18th century. Thank you. Renee: Perhaps I have misunderstood, but if you're talking about buying a subscription, only those records dating from June of 2007 to the present are included. The historical records are available for online viewing free of charge. See the "Computer Corner" article in the December issue for more info.

Degruy researchers, In the long list of family names I've sent, I see that all the accent marks have been substituted with ? Sorry about that. No accent marks is one of the Rootsweb limitations [like no attachments, no styles (boldface, italics, etc).] If you need to know the word complete with accent marks, contact me off list. For Charles, I have added Elaine and Greg. Let me know if they have any trouble accessing and I'll try to help. R > Renee, Please add two de Gruy descendants to our de Gruy list. They are Elaine Poche', daughter of Aida de Gruy Yochim; and Elaine's son Greg Holmes. Both are interested in our genealogy and can both benefit from and contribute to our de Gruy genealogy efforts. I have included both e-mail addresses on the cc line. > Thank you! > Best regards, > Charles M. de Gruy > >
