Thanks for letting me know my "test" message got through. Either yesterday or the day before I tried to send an email with a lot of data in it and it kept bouncing back. I asked Celine to send it for me because I just couldn't make it go through. Then I sent an email to Rootsweb and asked them what was going on. I got a really scary message saying the IP address had been put on a "black list" and I'd better contact Earthlink. "Black List" -- Yipes! I waited for the doorbell to ring and a couple of "G" men to be there to take me away. Additionally, the thought of trying to get through to India to get help from Earthlink just seemed too daunting for me to deal with in the middle of getting ready for Christmas! So..... I put it off :-[ Then I decided to send a test email...and you got it. So what does it all mean? I don't have a clue. Let's see if this one reaches you. Maybe the whole thing will resolve itself on its own. Typical internet mystery. Resolve on its own - now that would be a Christmas gift! Renee

Mr. Eugene, I have an old girlhood friend, who just moved back to New Iberia from New Orleans via Atlanta, Ga, and she is a direct descendant of Antoine Jean Baptiste Verloin Degruy, she told me that it was always said in the New Iberia Boutte/Degruy family that the Degruy family was related to Madame de Noailles, who was a very important persona at Versallies during the reign of King Louis 14th, her name is Anna Ross Mauldin Duval Twitchell and she attended Tulane University and earned her mater's degree in history from there. Her email is [email protected], you might enjoy sharing information with her as she is very interested in the family and has done extensive historical research. Wishing you and Miss Mary Anne a very Merry Christmas filled with much happiness and joy. Rene, I want to wish you and everyone a very Merry Christmas and may your Christmas be filled with many blessings and much happiness and joy,. I want to tell you that a direct descendant of Antoine Jean Baptiste Verloin Degruy has moved back to New Iberia from New Orleans, and she grew up here in New Iberia and we were girlhood friends, her name is Anna Ross Maulin Duval Twichell, and her email address is [email protected], and I sent her email address to you awhile back sometime in November and she said that she has never received an email from you concerning the Degruy website, she is a history and genealogy lover and is very interested in learning more about the Verloin Degruy line. Anna Ross descends to the Degruy line through Marie Threse Degruy, who was the wife of Francois Cezar Boutte, Senior and the daughter of Antoine Jean Baptiste Verloin Degruy. In talking about genealogy and history, Anna Ross shared with me this piece of information that I think will be of great interest to the Degruy website, she told me that it was always said in her family that the Degruy were related to or descended to Madame de Noailles, who was very closely tied to Versallies Palace and King Louis 14th of France. I looked up in an old encylopedia and found that the de Noailles family of France were a noble family drawing their lordship from titles near BEauvis, with Antoine the noted admiral of 16th Century and his brothers, Francois and Gilles, ambassadors, the de Noailles family attained promience as great generals of the 17th and 18th centuries. Anna Ross has a master's degree in history and she has done extensive research on Louisiana history and is very interested in becoming a member of the Degruy family website, Thank you very much for your kind consideration, Merry Christmas, kitty courts> Date: Mon, 15 Dec 2008 11:35:22 -0600> From: [email protected]> To: [email protected]> Subject: Re: [DEGRUY] message from David> > This sounds like the perfect place.> Someone, however, has already responded, so it may be gone.> But David's number is 504 828 6245> I'd call him as soon as you can and maybe you can head off the others at > the pass, so to speak.> Just tell him how you connect.
