I'm looking for information about the Maplewood Council Degree of Pocahontas which I believe is (was?) in Malden, Massachusetts. The obituary for my great grandmother list her as "a charter member of the Maplewood Council Degree of Pocahontas" . She was Laliah A. (Thomas) Crosby, born December 6, 1856 in Westport, Digby County, Nova Scotia, Canada, she died January 18, 1942 in Everett, Massachusetts. She was married on December 23, 1875 in Westport, Digby County, Nova Scotia to William Harris Crosby, he was born January 20, 1850 in Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada and died February 25, 1924 in Everett, Massachusetts. Any information you can share about them and/or the Maplewood Council Degree of Pocahontas would be appreciated, thank you. Bill Olsen Plymouth, Massachusetts email@example.com
Does anyone know if the Minota Council No. 58 is still in existence? Apparently my grandmother was a member. Thanks, Pam
In the obituaries of my paternal grandmother and her mother, I found that they belonged to the Degree of Pocahontas. My great grandmother's obituary says that she belonged to the Arawana Council, No. 23, Degree of Pocahontas. They were from Essex, Connecticut. Does anybody have information about Arawana Council, No. 23? Harry Walden Georgetown, Texas http://www.rootsweb.com/~ctmiddle/midlsxco.htm
My mother, Mildred Irene Smith, was a member and officer in Leominster, MA in the 1920's. Apparently, there is no longer a lodge in existence there. Do the records still exist somewhere and how would I go about learning more about my mother's participation and activities? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Richard G. Smith Burnet, TX
Heads up on a very new----very mean virus. Though I don't normally do this, and do request that you NOT reply to the list, but to me, List Mom, personally, I feel this is something that everyone needs to be aware of. For those who do NOT have an anti-virus program, or who have more questions, please contact me OFF list. :o) Take Care, Diana firstname.lastname@example.org AllFamilies Scrapbook: http://www.arkansasfamilies.net/famscrapindex.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Linda Schwartz who admins the Trondelag list gave permission to forward a very clear explanation of elements of these virus messages.
