Here is a crazy question. I've recently downloaded the Brunswick deed pool and when I merged it with my Brunswick base maps the two did not merge one-to-one. In other words, the deed data pool is off set and not on top of the base maps. Is there a way to merge the download file onto the base maps and have them mesh perfectly? Thanks Ray
That's not a crazy question at all! It takes a bit of monkeying around, but you can easily relocate all of the patents onto your maps. Open up your project containing your maps and the deed pool patents. Open the Edit menu and pick Select All. This will cause all of the patents to be selected. Hold down the left mouse button and drag all 500 patents until they are more or less where they belong on the maps. Release the mouse button. After examining the resulting locations, repeat as necessary to fine tune the locations. The Brunswick file has some dummy deeds that represent the county lines. If your maps contain boundary maps just move the patents around until the dummy lines match your boundary map lines.
