    1. [DMU] Question regarding fill color for plot
    2. Symonds
    3. After mporting a county map, I am able to place the parcel, but I am _unable_ to fill it with color. Nor am I able to change the line color. There is only one map in this deed file. Is this option unavailable with "imported" maps? Marilyn

    3. I am sure that the answer is that your "map" is treated as an image and the only controls you have are those under View>Options>Images. The maps that Direct Line sells are different than scanned images of maps that you can create. They are vector line maps giving you the ability to change background color and line color for the different types of maps. The deed plotting works the same with either or both. I have not tried a scanned image myself so someone that has will probably confirm this. The file types for scanned images are bmp, jpg, and tif. The maps that Direct Line sells are bmf. Look in the Help file under Maps:computer-compatible. 3. Thank you Bob. The odd part about the color fill is that the colored plot "flashes" by but does not stick. The "map" is a jpg image. I guess I will need to get a good old DeedMapper map, as Steve calls them. 3. Marilyn, it may be coloring the background but the scanned image covers it up. If you could get a color that was not opaque and trick the program to put the color on top of the image, it might work for the background color. For the price, get Steve's maps. I think you will like them. I have quite a number of them. Pleased customer. Oh yes...get all the ones you think you might need for the various areas you may research in the near future. The bulk discounts are attractive. Bob ----- Original Message ----- > Thank you Bob. The odd part about the color fill is that the colored > plot "flashes" by but does not stick.
